Euro Sport's Intercooler Kit for the VW Mk4 Golf & Jetta 1.8T engine. The Euro Sport intercooler is constructed of an all-aluminum bar & plate core with cast aluminum end tanks. Tubing is all 2" mandrel-bent with a black wrinkle powder coating for durable protection with a factory look. The Euro Sport Intercooler kit replaces the inefficient and undersized factory intercooler. By increasing the overall size of the intercooler and its upfront mounting location the air intake temperature will remain cooler in all conditions and increase your horsepower & torque in the entire rpm band. Another added benefit is a much smoother power band giving the car a more linear feel during acceleration & eliminating boost surging almost entirely. The Euro Sport intercooler is a great upgrade to any Mk4 1.8t and is especially important on cars with ECU programming or other upgrades. Great for all KO3 & KO4 turboed cars. The intercooler is capable of 300hp. Includes all mounting hardware, brackets, silicone hoses, clamps, and step-by-step color instructions.

Test Notes:
Both data log and dyno runs were accomplished on a Dynojet 248C in 4th gear from 2000-7000 RPM. 20,000 CFM fans were used. The outside temperature was 70 degrees F. Test vehicle is a 2001 VW Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 1.8T. Engine Modifications: GIAC ECU program for 91 octane, ITG profilter in stock airbox.

Datalog Test: This is comparing the air intake temperature between the stock intercooler and the Euro Sport FMIC. The stock intercooler started at 91 degrees Fahrenheit and climbed to 167 degrees Fahrenheit. The Euro Sport FMIC started at 79 degrees Fahrenheit and climbed to 113 degrees Fahrenheit - a difference of 54 degrees cooler than stock. The ambient temperature was approximately 70 degrees during both tests.

Dyno Test: This is comparing the Horsepower and Torque between the stock intercooler and Euro Sport FMIC. The Euro Sport FMIC gained 11.2 Horsepower and 11 Torque AT THE WHEELS over stock.
