The New Euro Sport Rear X-Brace stress bar for the MK7 & MK7.5 is designed to minimize rear chassis flex under hard cornering improving overall stability. Increased chassis rigidity contributes to better overall suspension control improving driver connection and feedback. Constructed of heavy wall 1" diameter steel tubing and features heavy-duty tig welded ends. Finished in satin black powder coat.

If you're willing to cut and drill your **** then this is soooo worth it. For $200 you're getting a lot of function. While it can't remove all my body roll it did remove a TON of it. All I need now is stiffer springs, bigger wheels n tires and the car is going to be perfect! And the bar looks GREAT!

Because it’s winter, I won’t be able to install it until my garage is above -5c. The instructions are easy to follow. I have a front brace and it tightened my R’s front end, so I expect the rear brace will stiffen the rear. A

Looks good
I have modified my GTI quite a bit and after doing the Clubsport S rear seat delete in my two door S I needed something to help in rigidity. The car currently has VWR springs, Koni Yellow shocks, 034 Strut mounts and Camber plates, Neuspeed RSB, as well as Tyrolsport dead set kit front and rear. This addition helped shore things up a bit and looks good doing it.

Stiff as a...
I installed this rear X-brace one day after installing the front strut brace. In combination with the front brace, this bar made a significant improvement in overall chassis stiffness. Difficult to quantify as the results are very subjective, a noticeable effect is how rigid the car is while jacking up. Lifting from a front jack point, I was able to get three wheels off the ground due to reduced torsion in the chassis combined with other modifications.

I was pretty skeptical but it does seem to firm things up in the back end. Instructions are straight forward and it al went in super easy. About 45 minutes from start to finish.

Super easy with very detailed instructions. It took longer test fitting than the actual installation. Couple tips for anyone thinking about getting one: 1) I used a Unibit step drill, simply marking the 3/8" step with a marker. Pilot drill with 1/8", then finish to size with the unibit. Makes nice clean holes. 2) Use a curved blade. I had a scalpel with a #15 curved blade. It cut the carpet like butter.
Pairs amazing with a sway bar
This thing is 100% the perfect add-on to your car. I cannot wait to try the front camber inserts. This is probably the best hatch brace on the market. That speaks for awesthetics and performance, both. It's a perfect product that I would absolute recommend to anyone.

Installed on a completely stock MK7.5 GTI. I came from a modded MK7 GTI and wanted to do things a little different this time. The X-Brace is a huge improvement in more ways than one. Driven hard you 100% know its there. It also got rid of the chassis/hatch creak pulling in and out of my driveway (slight hill). Very easy to remove if you do need the extra space, but not really in the way. Did not use the provided Nutsert tool as I already had a tool but did crush one (they give you an extra) in a scrap piece of sheet metal using provided tool and it seemed to work fine. As an added bonus and part of how I convinced my women to let me spend money, its a perfect place to slap bumper stickers when we go places. Would buy again and 100% recommend to every MK7 owner I know

Just thought I'd post a quick review of the Eurosport rear x-brace. I drove from Vegas to pick this up, install it and drive back. Install is very straight-forward and quite doable with minimal mechanical knowledge. Instructions are very clear, all hardware is included, and all you'll need is basic tools and a drill. This thing makes a huge difference! The fitment is perfect and doesn't limit trunk/hatch space one bit as it sits right up against the back of the backseats. Tiny creaks and groans are all but eliminated when going up onto or coming off driveways and taking an on/off-ramp at speed is now truly fun with the added stability and stiffness this bar provides. A definite chassis mod to stiffen up the car and get rid of noises. Awesome customer service as always!
